2nd Sheed Persian Film Festival winners announced

The 2nd edition of the Sheed Persian Film Festival in the US has announced the winners.

‘Azar’ by Mohammad Hamzei was selected as the best film while ‘No Date, No Signature’ won the best director award.

Best actress award went to Niki Karimi for her appearance in ‘Azar’ and Mohsen Tanabandeh received the best actor award for his role in ‘Ferrari’.

The audience award for the best film was jointly dedicated to ‘Israfil’ by Ida Panahandeh and ‘Yellow’ by Mostafa Taqizadeh.

The 2nd Sheed Persian Film Festival awarded the winners with the Close-up award in memory of late-great Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami.

The winners of the event were presented with the new award this year to commemorate the late Iranian director.

The Sheed festival screens valuable Iranian movies produced during the recent years.

The 2nd edition of the Sheed Persian Film Festival ran on November 10-12, 2017, in Dallas, Texas.
